A New Library

After a little hiatus, here's the final Photoshop-based visualisation. The scene itself will probably get a few more detail passes and some clean-up, but it's a good start and is now starting to reach a pretty good representation of what the game itself would look like. It's also now at a state where I can begin working on the engine code itself, starting to implement the rendering elements, camera, and editor interface with these assets.

  1. Hi, I'm a fledgling graphics programmer. The symbol on the floor looks pretty 3D. Is the entire floor just a quad with a normal map or is there some more complex geometry?

  2. This is way, way more lo-fi than you give it credit. It's just a flat texture with some photoshop bevel and emboss filters applied to the design =)

  3. So it's a trick that works because of the camera angle. Seems like textures for that game will be pretty easy to create.

  4. This is so cool? What happened to it? Did you finish the engine?
